Establishment of the Civil Service Academy

The Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Executive Council 162nd meeting held on 30.09.2021 has accorded for the establishment of Civil Services Academy in the premises of University College of Arts & Social Sciences, O.U. to provide coaching for the aspirants in the field of Civil Services for the students of the Osmania University.

• To inculcate the values of rationalism, liberalism, humanitarianism, tolerance and empathy in the minds of the students who are preparing for various types of competitive examinations.

• To promote academic excellence among the students by creating an academic and competitive environment in the University Campus.

Activities of the Academy

1. Conducting coaching Programmes for the National levels and State Level competitive Examinations such as Civil Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi, Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Group – I and Group – II Services Examination, Banking Services Recruitment Board Examination, etc.
2. Organisation of English Language Comprehension and communication skills Development Program to improve the English Communication Skills among the students.
3. Organisation of Lectures to imrove the English Communication skills among the students.
4. Conduct of Mock interviews for the successful candidates in the Civil Services (Main) Examination and TSPSC Group – I and Group – II (Main) Exams.
5. Civil Service Academy, OU has been conducting the various lectures on current events in order to make the students to think creatively.
6. Conducting the awareness programmes to inspire the students.
7. Conducting the interactive sessions with civils toppers.
